Tommy and a couple of his employees have just recently laid LVT in my hallway and kitchen and carpet in the bedrooms, living room and small cupboards. I asked Tommy Mountain to have Polyflor Camaro wild amber oak LVT installed and it wasn't something Mountain carpets usually stock, however, it wasn't a problem in getting it, the Inglewood Saxony carpet that I wanted, wasn't a problem. The job was spread over 3 days due to having to screed the flooring in preparation for the LVT, this also gave me chance to move stuff around rather than putting it outside. One of the initial reasons why I chose Mountain carpets to give me a quote was that I saw on their website that they assist in moving furniture about and that as a single person, this is very helpful. I will say that I did obtain quotes from other nearby flooring companies and Mountain carpets were considerably cheaper then their nearby competitors and not just by a few hundred pounds either, quite a significant amount and this showed me that Mountain carpets aren't here to mug you off. One nearby carpet company wanted just over £1000 to fit the flooring and carpet and that to me was quite simply a p*ss take from Crofts Carpets and in total, that company was £1600 more expensive than Mountain carpets and I only have a small 2 bed bungalow. £1600 is a lot of money. I will say to anyone that is considering getting quotes, do not ignore Mountain carpets and do not be put off with the small showroom they have, or will have in a month or so when it is all finished at the time of writing this review and remember, bigger companies have bigger overheads and their way of getting those costs back is to pass that cost onto the customer.....this for me, is very clearly evident with Carpetright and in this case, Croft carpets. Mountain Carpets did an excellent job of laying new flooring in our kitchen, utility room, hallway and bathrooms. Tommy brought selections of flooring to the house for us to select and took the time to show different patterns that the tile could be laid in. The work has been completed to a very high standard and it is clear he cares about his work and reputation.

Mountain Carpets and Flooring did a fantastic job with my floor. I was shopping around for months to find the correct flooring and when Tommy visited my home for a sample service, he told me about his cutting service. I was getting quotes from other firms  - none of which could offer this service. The job itself was completed to a very high standard and I have no doubt I will be recommending Tommy and using Mountain Carpets and Flooring again!

Good quality workmanship, lovely lad to have in our house. I waited 6 months before giving feedback in case there are issues. I had a separate problem where I needed to remove it my tiled-in toilet. I was concerned I'd have trouble due to the installation but Tommy's workmanship was so good he didn't stick the WC to the tiles which was a great help (a perfect fit!). Price was also SIGNIFICANTLY better than other local shop installers. Quality company, would definitely use again and have recommended to neighbours!

Fabulous service from the offset. Having found Tommy's details via google, I rang. He was so polite on the phone and did exactly as he said he would do (contact me back) . He visited on a Sunday which shows his work ethics, and we saw all his lovely choices on his van, we soon decided to upgrade more than we had originally intended, due to the passion from Tommy about his products. He sent a quote the same day, and everything was smooth from start to finish. Our flooring is gorgeous and was done with no bother. Would highly recommend Tommy to anyone, Thank you Tommy.

Excellent work from Tommy Mountain. His speciality is Luxury Vinyl Tiles but he puts down carpet expertly as well. A reasonably good selection of floor related products from the mobile van. Also very pleased that he collects your old carpet and disposes at no extra cost to the customer. Helps you move things around in house/flat if required. Thank you very much for a terrific job.

I came across Mountain Carpets’ website and was intrigued by the idea of their mobile showroom. I only wish this concept had existed before, as some of my other flooring choices may have been different in the past! I got in touch with Tommy, who arranged to visit me at my convenience. This was fantastic for me, as my working hours aren’t what most would consider normal.

I had a browse through the various carpet options, and was impressed by the extensive range available. It’s surprising what a difference it makes to be able to examine the different shades in the light of your own house. Tommy showed a lot of patience while I was choosing the best shade and texture, switching lights on and off, opening and closing curtains to make sure I made the right selection. The carpet had to be ‘grandson-proof’ too! Eventually I settled on my favourite carpet and booked in for fitting.

On the day of the fitting, Tommy and his crew arrived bang on time, and were the consummate professionals throughout. I was working from home on the day, and left them to it. I can honestly say the noise was kept to the barest minimum, and I was able to crack on in the office uninterrupted.

As for the finished article, what a fantastic job Mountain Carpets have done for me. The carpet feels fantastic underfoot and looks an absolute treat. It has brightened my room up no end. I struggle with natural light in my lounge, so being able to get the shade right by comparing samples at home, as opposed to the light in a showroom, was an absolute godsend.

I have already recommended Mountain Carpets to many people, and will continue to do so.

Tommy is an absolute star! He works so hard & has created us the most wonderful hallway floor in LVT, we are so pleased with the results. Nothing is too much trouble for him & his apprentice Andy, who are also very clean workers. We will definitely be calling upon them again in the near future for our next project!

Tommy and his crew did a great job, each phase of the job was on time and on budget. They were always professional, on site when they said they would be and didn't stop until each part of the installation process was complete. Tommy's knowledge of flooring was second to none, recommending the best product to suit our needs. Taking away the old carpet for recycling was a great service and eco-friendly too. Secondly, the workmanship - the home was freshly painted and glossed from top to bottom, the guys did their utmost to minimise scuffs and damage (which is inevitable) and I am very impressed with how they left our home. Tommy did his absolute best, I’m so impressed. I now train engineers in an academy and would use Tommy as an example of great workmanship.

When we were looking to get our new flooring we wanted someone local to Sleaford, Mountain Carpets fitted the bill. Really great experience. From the initial quotation, all communications and the work - the experience was friendly, hassle free and just as we were told it would be. Main selling point for us was Tommy's van, which is a mobile showroom. This meant he brought everything to us rather than having to go to a showroom. When you work all day, this is perfect as you don't want to eat into your weekends! Quality of work was superb. Would definitely use again.

I had approximately 40 square metres of flooring to be laid in several rooms, including some small and awkward areas. This was no problem for the fitters, all work was done to a high standard. Everything was left clean and tidy after fitting, and my new floor looks great.

Tommy turned up at the given time, he removed the old carpets and replaced with new. He was cheerful and polite. He was very efficient and made a cracking job of fitting the new carpets and Lino. His prices are very keen, and he tidied up after himself, the old carpets were disposed of by him as well. I will be using Mountain Carpets again in the very near future.

Called Tommy up needing help with a badly fitted stairs and landing carpet. He arranged a date and arrived on time, had a look and then rolled his sleeves up and just got started. Worked really hard and re fitted all parts to a far better standard than was supplied by a so-called fitting company! Very honest and friendly, worked hard and saved our stairs. Happy to recommend him, a real honest tradesman, keep him happy with a hot cuppa and he will do you proud. We are sure to call him first when we need something new!

It was a tricky floor to lay as it required having to turn a corner into a pantry, however Tommy and his apprentice rose to the challenge. The floor looks great. He's coming back in a week, once the vinyl has properly settled, to seal it. I was able to order the vinyl I wanted with Tommy which was handy as I didn't have to worry about delivery costs. Great from start to finish. Very knowledgeable when he came out to quote us which filled us with immediate confidence. Really good communication throughout the whole job. We had a 30ft kitchen which needed DPM and screed, then parquet LVT. All done in just less than 3 days. Absolutely over the moon with our new kitchen floor. Super professional, would 100% recommend.

Mountain carpets & flooring worked here in Woodhall Spa for two days. They uplifted and disposed of old carpet and cut and fitted brand new carpet. It was quite a big job in a house of around 3,000 sq ft. And it included moving and replacing some furniture and effects. They were polite, professional and friendly, working extremely hard to get the job done in just two days. It was a delight to have them here and nothing was too much trouble. Their quality of workmanship was truly outstanding and I would have no hesitation in recommending them for a similar job that demands precision and accuracy.

Tommy had sample carpets for us to choose from so didn't have to go around all the shops getting exhausted trying to decide. He delivered it for us too so no extra delivery costs. He came with two other colleagues who, just like him, were polite and friendly and worked very hard for 2 days. They did an excellent job and we are very delighted with the results.
